Ailsa Response provides a bespoke companionship care service to offer a little extra support, allowing individuals to continue living independently in their own home and maintain meaningful connections.

Our service is extremely flexible, our Ailsa Response Assistants can visit multiple times throughout the week, depending on individual needs. We understand the importance of continuity and trust, which is why we thoughtfully match each person with a carer who shares similar interests and values. This approach helps create genuine rapport and lasting relationships, ensuring that support feels familiar, friendly, and truly personal.

How We can help

At Ailsa Response, our Care Assistants can carry out a number of different activities when they visit, whether it be trips to the shops or helping with hoovering followed by a cup of tea and a chat, to medication and personal care; we are here to help.

Befriending Service Activities

Ailsa Response Assistants can carry out a number of different activities when they visit, whether it be a trip to the shops or helping with hoovering followed by a cup of tea and a chat. Our Care Assistants will help with whatever is needed at that time. Activities may include:

  • Help with getting up in the morning
  • Preparing meals
  • Light household duties such as cleaning, laundry and ironing
  • Help with a trip to the shops
  • Making the home secure
  • Help with getting ready for bed at night
  • Accompany to activities

Our care plans are flexible and responsive, regularly reviewed and updated to ensure we are always providing the right level of care.

We offer high-quality care at cost-effective rates.

  •  £22.36 for a day shift (+VAT)
  • £24.30 for a nightshift (+VAT)

We don’t offer training for external care staff. As a care agency, we focus on supplying experienced, fully vetted professionals who have already completed core training and receive regular refresher courses. This ensures our team is always prepared to deliver safe, high-quality care from day one.

Thank you for your interest in working with us. At this time, we are unable to offer visa sponsorship. We encourage applications from individuals who already have the right to work in the UK, as we are currently not in a position to support visa applications or transfers.

Our Befriender Carer service is primarily focused on companionship. However, there may be occasional instances where personal care is required. For this reason, we are currently only progressing applications from individuals who have at least six months of relevant care experience.
